Descripciòn
Hermosa colonial en piedra , ubicada en una posiciòn muy panoramica con esplendida vista de la Val di Chiana y de la antigua iglesia de S. Maria delle Grazie al Calcinaio. La estructura , recientemente transformada en una bella villa independiente , se encuentra a breve distancia de Cortona , esplendida ciudadela medieval de origen etrusca.
Gracias a un cuidadoso restauro a mantanido intacto sus caracterìsticas arquitectònicas originales , como el hermoso pavimento antiguo en barro que junto a una decoraciòn en estilo rùstico ofrece un ambiente agradable y acogedor .
El acceso a la propiedad es por medio de una calle no asfaltada pero en buenas condiciones.
Distancia: Cortona con tiendas de todo tipo a 1 km , Camicia a 1 km , Arezzo a casi 30 km , Perugia y Siena se encuentran a casi 50 km.
La calle para Cortona pasa a casi 50 m de la estructura.Parqueo al interno de la propiedad.
A disposiciòn de los huèspedes: Hermoso jardìn a terraza ubicado en posiciòn panoramica con pequeña piscina en piedra ( 3 , 5 x 4 m – abierta del 01/05 al 30/09) dotada de corro de idromasage y cascada de agua corrente , parrillada.
Servicios extra: Ayudo domèstico disponible con solicitud a 15 €,-/ hora ( pagar en el lugar ) Cama para bebè disponible a 45 €,-/ a la semana ( pagar en el lugar ).Posibilidad de alquilar un butacòn cama al precio de 80 €,-/ a la semana.
Disponible con solicitud una plancha a vapor y local con lavadora.

Beim Objekt Calcinaio handelt es sich um ein wunderschön restauriertes, unterhalb von Cortona gelegenes altes italienisches Landhaus. Das Haus wie das große Grundstück wurden mit viel Charme ausgestattet bzw. angelegt. Sehr angenehm an warmen Tagen ist ein Bad in dem kleinen aus Natursteinen gebauten Pool (mit Massagedüsen). Die oberhalb am Hang gelegene Etruskerstadt Cortona ist mit dem Pkw schnell zu erreichen (2 Minuten). Verkehrsgeräusche aufgrund der Straße nach Cortona sind vorhanden, wurden von uns jedoch nicht als störend empfunden.
Insgesamt haben wir einen sehr erholsamen schönen Aufenthalt in Calcinaio verlebt und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten.

Staying at Il Calcinaio was a definite highlight of our trip to Italy. Our family of five, with three young children, was very comfortable here and the location was perfect for exploring Tuscany. The house has been remodeled to a very high standard and the yard, view, olive trees, church, and town of Cortona made for a perfect setting. Many thanks--

Calcinaio has been beautifully and artfully restored and we had a very
comfortable stay. Home-made jam, a bottle of wine and a magnificent bowl
of tomatoes awaited us on arrival. There is a little traffic noise and the
driveways take a bit of manouvering but the quality of the property
overrides all of this. Turn the fountain on and relax out by the pool with
a good drink! |

| In general, this is a fabulous central location for the region and a lovely villa. The house, pool and garden were delightful, well stocked and comfortable. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are a huge advantage in the summer months. |

| Beautiful area with many good restarants and some excellent ones as well as wonderful local wines and just far enough off the “main” tourist track to avoid the log jam of tourist coaches at some of the other hillside towns. To this point in time Cortona has managed to retain a certain local feel, despite the fact that it remains a popular, if not too crowded tourist destination. |
